When I started my journey. I struggled to market what I was doing. I knew that I don’t have a complete product. But I knew very well that if I have to introduce my product. I need a channel for that.
I
had some experience of introducing and selling product at grass root
level. Through direct selling. First experience in the the world of
business. That is a good medium. You tell the experience to the
customers and if they like it they will buy the product/services from
you.
It
really works. Take the example of the facebook. It’s called word of
mouth marketing. It’s exponential in nature.
Other
medium of marketing are:
1.
Social Media
This
medium has gained wide growth in these few years. It’s best medium
to promote your product. If it liked by the customer. You can grow
your business lot more like a boom in the market.
You
have to make channel on various platform like Youtube, Fb, Twitter,
LinkedIn etc...
I
would suggest choose one platform instead of more than one. It will
help you track easily in the initial days of start-up.
2.
T-shirt
This
is another better way of marketing in the initial days. Make
compulsory to your team to wear the T-shirt of your start-up Logo.
That’s makes you proud as well.
It
will cost you less and will work more as a marketing tool. Never ever
make a mistake of not choosing this route.
3.
Visiting Card
If
you don’t have money. In my initial days. I used to give every
potential person a card. And tell them to visit us for the services.
In this way I make several friends and attracted few investors too.
It
is also useful in getting contact with the following person easily. I
have many cards in present time too. I had met several entrepreneurs
in past years. All I can remember them through cards easily.
4.
Write a blog about your product
This
is well deserve category as I knew and will not cost you if you can
write about your product. Most of the companies use this medium to
talk to their potential customers. They keep on writing about the
progress made to their product. Even though they were not fully
prepared.
This
is powerful medium. Using this at the initial stage is must, I think
so.
You
can take review too. How they are excited and waiting for the
product/services of your’s. On that You keep in touch with them.
You can find few potential investors as well in this fashion, if you
got lucky.
5.
Audio/video
Making
a video about how your product/services is going to look like.
Energize the customers and update their excitement to new level from
time to time. Without having the actual products/services in hand.
Millions
of people love to watch the video before they want to buy a
product/services. It gives them right information in words of their
loved company. Make them secure to buy as soon it come in the
market.
6.
Events/conference
Go
to the event and meet as much people as you can. Meeting with like
minded will help you to find the right path to move ahead.
I
met several entrepreneurs. They give you positive energy with a hope
as well to do something crazy with your skills. I knew I haven’t
done too much. But I go to the event and introduce myself. There is
huge response to it. You will find lots of things are happening and
may you find few interesting product/services. You may wana buy but
it may be in initial phase/about to complete. So they are able to make
a impact on you/the initial customers for their product through this
medium very well. So, you can too.
This
is few of them. There is lot more, which can be discussed. But I have
shared the most effective way which is widely used. Only the priority
of us is to introduce the product/services to the potential
customers. So, identifying the potential customers is another thing
which is must to find where is yours. I will talk another day about
this.
Where
is your customers there is right medium these days to introduce your
product at no cost.
So
leave the tension of marketing and focus more on improving the
experience with the product to better standard. Make it outstanding
as much as you can. Customers will make you a hit. The time is yours.
