Is it a good idea to buy stocks on the red days? Why or why not?

All depends whether to buy or sell the stock. Never if it is ended red or never buy if it is ended green.
Market is a place, before taking trade you have to analyze.
Analysis is technical and fundamental. Open the chart and see is it right to sell/buy. If it seems then ok else look for another.

I would say don't considers other advice. Just see the words and work on what interests you. Otherwise at the end you might loose patience and not the potential what you have started. So start whatever you like or interest you. That will challenge and give you happiness at the end of every day. I can name many. Just stick with what you love or start something and love it.

Here is the story I have to share: It was early August month2013. when first time I was invited to an event. Told by the associate that it's youth event where you can interact and talk alot about entrepreneurship & innovation. Lots of big businessman. Bright people, have  reach direct at the top class businessman that you see in the newspaper or TV. I got amazed that really i will get such a chance to interact. I got attraced having no real first hand experience of such things before. I joined them and got there on time. Really they engaged me and gave me some insight. I agreed all the terms and finally somehow convinced my mother and joined with certain amount. There were lot more promises like a politician make. So many things seems that yes i wann be there.
